League Rules

Official rules and regulations for the Saltburn Pool League, played under Blackball Rules.

League Format

Structure

A standard league match consists of 9 frames in total:

  • 6 Singles Frames
  • 3 Doubles Frames

The Break

We do not lag for the break.

  • First Frame: Away team calls heads or tails for the break.
  • Subsequent Frames: Breaks alternate between teams.
Player Eligibility & Disputes

Registration & Transfers

Players should be registered by their team captain before playing a match. Transfers cost £10 and are allowed anytime before the last 2 games of the season.

Scoring

1 point is awarded for each frame won. There are 9 points available in total per match. League positions are decided by Points, then Head-to-Head.

Disputes

All disputes must be reported to the league committee within 24 hours. The committee's decision is final.
